POSTPONED: April 25, 2020 at Inderkum High
Runners and walkers will compete in spring
to make this year’s Natomas 5K better than ever!
Please mark your calendar now for the Natomas 5K “Run for Their Future,” which is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020. Hundreds of local residents have participated in the 5K in each of the past three years — and we’re planning on an even larger crowd this year.
This fun-for-all ages event will include vendors, entertainment, raffles, food, and so much more! Proceeds will be used by the Natomas Schools Foundation for college scholarships or computer grants to help students within Natomas Unified School District boundaries. The NSF is a nonprofit group, run by volunteers and committed solely to the purpose of generating funds to advance students’ education.
The Course: The flat, fast course starts at Inderkum High School, loops around the North Natomas Regional Park, and duck pond before finishing at Inderkum.
5K Run/Walk Start Times:
Wave 1 ( 10-minute mile pace or faster) 8:30 a.m.
Wave 2 ( Slower than 10 minute mile pace and walkers) 8:33 a.m.
Awards Ceremony: 9:30 a.m. ( or as soon as the last participant crosses the finish line)

Sponsor A School, Promote Your Business
– and Students Can Run this 5K for Free
This year’s Natomas 5K community fun run to raise money for local students will offer businesses and community stakeholders the unique opportunity to sponsor a school of their choice, thus creating an everybody-wins situation in which sponsors receive widespread promotion and all students at that school can run for free.
Sponsorship will benefit the Natomas community long after runners hit the 5K finish line on April 25, 2020 because proceeds from “A Run For Their Future” will be used for college scholarships or laptop computer grants to benefit students living within the Natomas Unified School District.
The fun-for-all ages community 5K – walkers are welcome too — is hosted by the Natomas Schools Foundation, a nonprofit community group of volunteers that raises thousands of dollars each year for local students and academic causes.
Prospective sponsors can choose from among several different packages that vary in price, style and promotional benefits – $1,500 enables all students at a school to run for free, for example, while a $500 sponsorship provides the same benefit to staff.
Sponsorships of the event, not a particular school, are $1,000. All three types of sponsors listed above receive T-shirt, banner, social media, and other promotional recognition that varies based on contribution.
Minimum in-kind donations of $250 are required of sponsors who only want to set up a booth at the race.
The top level of sponsorship, “Grand Sponsor,” costs $2,500. It allows all students and staff at a school to run for free, and provides numerous promotional benefits ranging from T-shirt, banner and poster recognition to mention on a 5K announcement to NUSD families and the opportunity to speak briefly at the race.
Click on the blue “Sponsor the Run” button above to learn more about the sponsorship levels or to become a sponsor. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For more information, please contact Monty Maxwell at [email protected] or (916) 769-2383.
Please help us help local youth. Your contribution is vital. Thank you very much!
